Bright silver, highly lustrous cuboctahedral Galena crystals densely cover the upper surface of cryptocrystalline Fluorite matrix, with sub-mm colourless cubic crystals and occasional larger crystals of delicate sky-blue. From the mining district around the town of Freiberg, one of the most iconic localities in Saxony, Germany. The Galena crystals range from a few mm across up to about 1 cm and the largest Fluorite crystal measures 9 x 8 x 5 mm. A great miniature of Galena and Fluorite from Freiberg in Saxony.
