Fluorite with Baryte
Although more a reference specimen, the Fluorite is so characteristic of many localities in this area of Derbyshire, display colour zoning in each cubic crystal. In this case the cubes tend to have colourless to greyish edges and mottled blue faces and cores. Several intergrown crystals nestle amongst micro-crystals of pale pink cockscomb Baryte. It was collected by John Jones in February 1978 at Smalldale quarry near Bradwell in Derbyshire, England. and is accompanied with his label.
