Composite scalenohedral Calcite crystals of between 5 to 10 mm tall cover a plate of Calcite matrix from Parc Mine at Llanrwst, Gwydyr Forest area, Conwy, Wales. The Calcite is translucent and although it is a uniform cream-white, it can appear tinged very pale pink. Micro-crystals of brassy-sliver Marcasite dust the Calcite terminations and random edges of the composite groups.
