Wire transfers available, to set up
Rich druses of vibrant, bright yellowish lime-green and deeper siskin-green Pyromorphite largely cover a gnarled, vuggy limonitic matrix; a classic specimen from the Wanlockhead mining area in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The original county name, and that at the time of mining, was Dumfriesshire. The Pyromorphite forms as 3 to 4 mm diameter botryoidal mounds of micro-acicular crystals. This sought after colour and habit of Pyromorphite from Wanlockhead is now very rarely encountered. This specimen comes with a nice old printed and typed label, ex. Hugh G. Ford of Wall Street, New York.
