An excellent small cabinet specimen of well-formed colourless-gemmy terminated Quartz crystals associated with lustrous metallic black platy crystals of Hematite, on a matrix of creamy saddle-shaped Dolomite crystals and red-brown banded Hematite. From Florence mine adjacent to the town of Egremont, the Quartz crystals are true Florence classics forming double terminated stubby crystals in the habit of back-to-back terminations without the intervening hexagonal prism. Such Quartz crystals with associated Specular Hematite make superb specimens and this is a lovely example.
