NATIVE Bismuth
A superb specimen of heavy, solid, Native Bismuth from the Tazna mine in the Atocha-Quechisla District of Potosí Department, Bolivia. The Native Bismuth is a metallic silvery bronze and displays both excellent cleavage and crosshatching and is attached to a little white Quartz matrix. Tazna remains an active mine which works a several hornfels-hosted tungsten-bismuth veins. Exceeding 10 cm in length, this is a excellent cabinet specimen of Native Bismuth ideal for either a location piece or as a suite of native elements.
