Description
An excellent miniature group of bright lustrous jet-black crystals of Sphalerite to 2.5 cm wide with an approximately 3.5 x 1 cm area coated with small orange-tan crystals of Dolomite. This first-class example of well-crystallised Sphalerite is from the mines on Alston Moor in eastern Cumberland, the former name for present-day Cumbria. The specimen is accompanied with several previous collector's labels.
