Mammillary druses of Malachite form gently curved mounds over the Quartz crystal covered surface of a Quartz veinstone platy matrix. From Wheal Phoenix at Minions in the Liskeard District of north Cornwall, the Malachite also forms mm-scale framboidal plumes of turquoise green. Between the Malachite and Quartz is a layer of deep green Chrysocolla and some zones within the Malachite appear to have silicified to become Chrysocolla. An interesting specimen from Wheal Phoenix.
