Cerussite
A superb old-time specimen of glassy lustrous creamy-white tapered Cerussite crystals richly coating a gossan matrix, the dark grey surface of which appears to be pisolitic Coronadite. The Cerussite crystals are mainly developed lying parallel to the matrix surface and measure up to 3 cm long. Please note the specimen has had two minor repairs sometime in its history, whereby two Cerussite crystals have been carefully glued back into their original position. Neither are remotely visible unless carefully inspected with a hand lens. From the MMM mine, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, these on-matrix Cerussite specimens have become true Broken Hill classic.
