An incredibly rich specimen of beautifully crystallised Clinoclase from the Majuba Hill mine in Nevada, USA. This large miniature displays excellent, intergrown rounded crystal groups measuring to 7 mm, coalesced into a splendid and characteristic botryoidal habit, with a high glassy lustre and of intensely dark indigo blue. The curved, scarab-shaped crystalline clusters are what Cornish miners termed ‘beetle ore’ and this is a remarkably fine example of this habit. The Clinoclase is associated with rare, light green, possible Strashimirite, Chrysocolla and Brochantite. A seldom seen, very rich specimen of Clinoclase from the Majuba Hill mine, famous for its copper secondaries. The specimen is accompanied with two labels, one ex. the Robert W. Jones Collection and one the Scalisi Collection, of Raynham, Massachusetts.\n
