Siderite Pseudomorph After Calcite with Quartz$400.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
An excellent epimorphic, light caramel Siderite replacement of intergrown rhombic Calcite crystals from Turț at Negrești-Oaș in the Oaș Mountains of Satu Mare County, Romania. Crystalline Siderite forms excellent, well-defined rhombic epimorphs, some with egg shell-thin walls infilled with drusy undulating granular Siderite together with the odd Quartz crystal. This complex mixture of epimorphs and sucrosic crystallised Siderite covers a 9 x 5 cm area of underlying Pyrite. An unusual cabinet specimen and fine example of complex epimorph replacement chemistry.
