This elegant parallel array of Roman sword Stibnite crystals has been likened to the Gothic splendour of the Game of Thrones 'Iron Throne', for its form and colour. Three main sword-like crystals of lustrous metallic, steel-grey Stibnite are surrounded by many smaller crystals around their base; the whole specimen being mounted vertically on a bevelled, clear acrylic base. The largest crystal measures 4.5 x 1.4 x 0.6 cm, all crystals being heavily striated parallel to their vertical axes. The three prime crystals are perfectly terminated with steep asymmetric faces with a micro-stippled matt lustre. A gorgeous Stibnite specimen from Baiut in Maramureș County, Romania.
