A relatively large and sharply terminated, thick bladed crystal of Epidote. The crystal is dark green, opaque to translucent and has a high vitreous lustre on the prism faces. It's an excellent example of a large and well-formed Epidote crystal from China, considered most probably to originate from Handan Prefecture in Hebei Province. This ex. matrix Epidote crystal is perfectly terminated and within the dark bottle green prism, bright electric lime green flecks reflect light due to its internal translucency.
