Fluorite
Sharp, equant, well developed intergrown crystals of colourless Fluorite from a near-perfect dome from the well-known Derbyshire mine, Ladywash near the village of Eyam. The crystals are typically 14 to 15 mm on edge. As always, the Fluorite from this locality is heavily included with mixed sulphide minerals, typically pyrite, chalcopyrite and marcasite, giving the Fluorite crystals a golden speckled appearance. The sulphide particles are more concentrated towards the crystal edges, which emphasise the cubic form of the Fluorite. A great specimen from this well-known collecting area of Derbyshire.
