Tremolite
A large cluster of intergrown prismatic crystals of Tremolite with scattered sub-centimetre masses of grey to colourless botryoidal Quartz. The Tremolite crystals are all terminated when not in contact with adjacent crystals and are a silvery-bluish-sea-green with a bright silky lustre. This small cabinet specimen is from West Pierrepont in St. Lawrence County, New York, USA and, although not recorded with the specimen, is probably from the Selleck Road locality in outcrops in the forest floor. A most attractive specimen of Tremolite from the richly mineralized Pierrepont area of New York state.
