Chrysocolla ps. after Malachite ps. after Azurite with Quartz$900.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
From a recent find in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), an interesting double pseudomorph of Chrysocolla replacing Malachite after Azurite. Several original tabular Azurite crystals are encrusted in a druse of glassy transparent colourless Quartz crystals which create a sucrosic-textured sparkle to the underlying intense sky-blue Chrysocolla. The crystals in this specimen form a vertically-bent stalagmitic structure with a C-shaped, corral-like habit. The Tenke-Fungurume area delineates a 30 km mineralised zone between Tenke hill and Fungurume hill in the Kolwezi mining district. Around the base at the back of the specimen, parts of the central core of dark emerald-green Malachite can be seen. A vividly coloured and architecturally shaped miniature of pseudomorphed Chrysocolla mounted on a square colourless acrylic base.
