Octahedral crystals of translucent peppermint green Fluorite, measuring to 5 mm, are clustered in two distinct areas on a pale pink-tinged Quartz matrix from Sant Cugat del Vall's-El Papiol in Spain. This district is about 14 km northwest of Barcelona. The Fluorite is possibly internally gemmy, but the outer frosted faces mask this, making the crystals appear translucent. Surrounding the Fluorite and covering the matrix's top surface is a carpet of colourless, micro-Quartz crystals. This large miniature comes with a previous owner's card label.
