Calcite
An aesthetic cluster of double terminated scalenohedral Calcite crystals in stacked, parallel growth. The largest crystals measure to around 6.5 cm long. All crystals are a smoky, pale honey with grey phantom-centres and a central band of opaque, off-white Calcite. The tips of some crystals are slightly bruised, but this is not apparent when displayed. A good display specimen from the famous and ancient Magpie mine close to Sheldon by Ashford-in-the-Water, Derbyshire, England. This cabinet specimen is accompanied with the collector's label on which it is noted it was found in a cavity in the Blend Vein on Sough Level.
