This small miniature Galena is aesthetic, fascinating and stunning, three excellent qualities which I feel are guaranteed to please. From the Picher Field lead-zinc mining district in the Tri-State District of Oklahoma, USA, this specimen is a crystallographer's delight, featuring several crystal habits manifesting at different scales and stages of epitaxial growth. The specimen appears to have nucleated around a roughly 2.3 x 2.3 x 1.5 cm flattened cubic Galena crystal over which other differing crystal habits have developed. It's a great specimen, quite unique and eye-catching little beauty that will enhance any collection, be this of miniatures or any size.
