A large thumbnail specimen of graphite-grey Acanthite, a silver sulphide, forming crude dull metallic crystals from M?d?nec in the Kru'n' Hory mountains of the Czech Republic. M?d?nec was an old copper mine which began in the 1500s, eventually closing in 1860, which mined copper from a skarn deposit. A rare and great little example of off-matrix Acanthite from this historic mine.
