A beautifully aesthetic specimen of botryoidal Goethite forming undulating mid to dark chocolate-brown mounds of approximately 1.5 cm across and up to 3 cm. From the Restormel Royal Iron mine at Lostwithiel in Cornwall, the botryoidal surface is velvety and matt while the base and one side section show the internal radial structure in lustrous colour-zoned concentric rings. Ninety percent of the upper face is coated with a drusy layer of glassy Quartz crystals in shades of flesh-pink, colourless and black. A most attractive and quite delightful Goethite with Quartz from Restormel.
