Two tiny root beer-brown, terminated Rutile crystals sit flat against a 2 cm tall metallic black Hematite crystal, itself joined with smaller Hematite crystals and glassy Adularia. This lovely thumbnail is from Cavradi Gorge in the Curnera Valley, Grischun, Switzerland and comes mounted on a small colourless acrylic base. The Hematite crystals display fascinating nested triangular growth patterns which give multi-faceted reflections across the specimen. A great Swiss Hematite with Rutile.
