Baryte on Calcite$300.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Transparent to translucent tabular blades of Baryte are developed to over 3 cm long, lying almost flat against a bed of micro-crystals of Calcite. This lovely small miniature is from the outcrop in Peak Hill cliff at Sidmouth, Devon, England. Rock falls from high in the vertical cliff face contain the Baryte which requires speedy recovery before it is reclaimed by the sea. Under LWUV the Baryte fluoresces bright bluish white and in SWUV, pale ghostly white.
