A group of bright, metallic silver Galena crystals of cuboctahedral habit, yet tending more towards the octahedron. The crystals, the largest measuring 1.9 x 1.3 x 0.9 cm, sit on a milky-white Quartz veinstone shot through with Galena, Pyrite and Chalcopyrite, with a layer of very lustrous and glassy Quartz beneath the Galena. This miniature is from the Pfannenberger Einigkeit mine at Salchendorf in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
