An excellent specimen of Wulfenite from the classic Mexican location of the Erupcion Mine, Chihuahua. The Wulfenite crystals display the quintessential tabular-blocky butterscotch crystals, so characteristic of the location. The Wulfenite crystals measuring to 1.2cm are highly lustrous, perfectly contrasted with the white Calcite matrix. The white Calcite matrix also has a second phase of Calcite crystal which forms a druse growth on one area of the display face. The Calcite crystals having a slight pinkish colour due to minute inclusions of Goethite. The specimen also has yellow areas of very minute Descloizite crystals. A fantastic specimen of Wulfenite from the mine.
