A choice, beautiful miniature of mixed Quartz and Muscovite capped with a Hematite 'Iron Rose', the variety formed from stacked, rounded tabular plates with an overall hexagonal profile. The 'rose' measures 1.7 cm across at its widest point and is about 0.9 cm deep. The hexagonal shape is incomplete due to the Hematite being partly embedded in the matrix. The Hematite forms silver-black plates with a brilliant metallic lustre. A superb example of an Austrian Iron Rose variety of Hematite.
