Pyrargyrite
A group of steely-silver Pyrargyrite crystals in an intergrown cluster, ranging between about 2 mm and 1.4 cm across, from the famous silver mines around J'chymov in the Kru'n' Hory mountains of the Czech Republic. The Pyrargyrite, a silver sulphosalt, forms well developed flattened crystals with a metallic lustre, some of which are sprinkled with micro-crystals of tan Siderite. The specimen is mounted on a slender turned and ebonised wooden plinth, but can be easily removed if desired.
