ARAGONITE
?'?ov Hill is a distinctive feature on the skyline above Ho?enec, in the 'st' Region of the Czech Republic and amongst the small suite of minerals found here, it is Aragonite for which it is famous. Usually found as small translucent fragments and small or damaged crystals, this small cabinet specimen is an impressive single, ex-matrix crystal measuring over 9 cm tall and grading from semi-transparent honey tan to gemmy transparent icy pale yellow. This amazing crystal exhibits all its prism and termination faces but is naturally heavily etched, manifesting as striated and furrowed lines and grooves across all its surfaces. A spectacular Aragonite from the famous Ho?enec outcrop.
