This fantastic small cabinet specimen is a gorgeous combination of Rutile and Quartz from Serra das 'guas in Brumado, Bahia, Brazil. A 6.5 cm tall, largely transparent Quartz crystal stands vertically on a small matrix of massive opaque milky Quartz with several small Quartz crystals around its base. Bright metallic black Rutile crystals are richly distributed around the base and, more spectacularly, around the vertical Quartz prism, forming an almost complete necklace-like chain set at forty-five degrees. The placement of these Rutile crystals is highly unusual and most aesthetic.
