Description
A sharp and lustrous Scheelite crystal, 2.0 cm on edge, attached to a clear Quartz crystal from Tae Hwa mine at Chungju in South Korea. The Scheelite is a well crystallized, sharp octahedron and the tip of the Quartz crystal is undamaged. The Scheelite is root beer-brown and can appear a little purplish in a different light. Interestingly, the Quartz crystal fluoresces pale to medium white under LWUV while the Scheelite is a very feint ethereal white under SWUV. A rare and lovely example from this now closed South Korean mine.
