Calcite on Quartz with Siderite ps. after Stilbite$600.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A large, flat, triangular matrix of milky Quartz with its top surface completely covered in stubby Quartz crystals to 0.8 cm across and all coated with a thin layer of olive-greenish-grey Chlorite. From the Coronation Lode on Level 18, Geevor Mine, Pendeen, St Just, Cornwall. A dense overgrowth of lustrous, cream bladed Calcite crystals to 2 cm across covers most of the Quartz and these blades have secondary overgrowths of Calcite covering them. Between the Calcite and on top of the Quartz are Chlorite coated bowties of what is recorded as Siderite pseudomorphs after Stilbite. An excellent and busy specimen from the now flooded Geevor mine. Please note the underside of this specimen's base has been sawn to reduce the amount of matrix.
