Excellent dark chocolate brown Smithsonite crystals are richly deposited within a long cavity on drusy Quartz, from the San Valentín mine at Sancti Spiritu, La Unión, Murcia, Spain. Smithsonite crystals have developed as a sub-parallel cluster and a druse of elongated crystals in rice grain (aka ant's egg) habit. An undefined tan coloured mineral is seen in association with the Smithsonite to one edge of the specimen. This is a fine large cabinet specimen of Smithsonite from the seldom seen Spanish location of the San Valentín mine.
