An attractive group of colourless glassy Dolomite crystals with mid-grey cores from Trieben in the Liesing-Palten valley, Styria, Austria. The rhombohedral crystals are typically up to about 1.5 cm on edge, but one exceptional crystal measures 2.5 cm along one face. Most crystals have a more translucent outer shell, making the core look darker with the edges having a lighter, zoned appearance. Occasional crystals have the odd naturally ragged edge. One corner of the larger crystal is slightly bruised causing the Dolomite to look whiter, but this is towards the back and should go mainly unnoticed. A very good group of well crystallised Dolomite from Styria, Austria.
