Fluorite
This is a wonderful large cabinet specimen from one of the most remarkable Fluorite localities in Germany: Beihilfe mine. This mine has produced a kaleidoscope of colours of Fluorite, but also in the most remarkable of crystals - large, small, and intricately colour zoned. This particularly stunning specimen displays the most glassy, bright, dark purple cubic crystals to over 6 cm on edge, reminiscent of the North Pennines in England, BUT for the fact that underneath, internally the crystals are orange-yellow of a colour combination never seen in northern England. The crystals are razor sharp, perfectly formed and so classy. Underneath the glassy exterior, the crystals display internal frosting, providing wonderful character. From the famous Huber collection in Austria.
