Description
This spherical dome of velvety-purple Fluorite is unusual and rare for a European locality as we more readily associate this habit with the Deccan Trapp region of India. From Horn' Slavkov (Schlaggenwald) in the western Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic, a distorted 5 x 4 cm dome of micro-crystalline Fluorite is draped over a lilac-tinged milky-white Fluorite core, edged with etched blocky cubic crystals of cream Fluorites with delicate lilac edges. The overall colour of the dome is rich Royal purple grading to deep blackberry and cobalt.
