Smithsonite$900.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Rich apple-green druses of sub-2 mm Smithsonite crystals cover a naturally etched granular Quartz matrix impregnated with Calcite. Colourless glassy Calcite crystals in small clusters sit between the Smithsonite together with sooty-black patches of micro-granular Goethite. This specimen is from North mine at Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, a mine discovered in 1883 and operated until 1993. A lovely Smithsonite of a most attractive colour from this world-famous silver-lead-zinc mine.
