A beautiful and arresting small cabinet specimen of framboidal Pyrite richly coating stubby Quartz crystals, with glassy, translucent-white Calcite crystals overlaying the Pyrite. This lovely specimen, from the Příbram mining district in Bohemia, Czech Republic, is particularly aesthetic and striking because of the lustrous, iridescent metallic copper coloured sub-mm Pyrite crystals. About 1% of the Pyrite is a more characteristic brassy-gold. The mainly hidden lustrous Quartz crystals are a deep smoky brown, sometimes appearing reddish because of the copper coloured Pyrite.
