Magnificent sprays of colourless to milky-white Strontianite (strontium carbonate) crystals to 3 cm long radiate out from a pinkish-cream matrix of massive and semi-crystalline Magnesite. This specimen, from Oberdorf an der Laming in the Laming valley of Styria, Austria, forms as long, tapering, mainly gemmy crystals. Under LWUV these fluoresce pale honey-yellow. A very rich and beautifully crystallised Strontianite from Austria with a previous collector’s label.
