PLAGIONITE with Stibnite and Zinkenite$8,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
An excellent small cabinet specimen of the rare lead antimony sulphide Plagionite from the Wolfsberg area Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Silvery-grey metallic Plagionite forms intergrown crystals with a wedge-like habit measuring to around 3 mm. These are associated with nests of finely acicular metallic grey Zinkenite and large areas of bladed Stibnite enclosed in the Quartz matrix. The edges around the vug are draped with drusy, milky-white micro-crystalline Quartz which give sparkling outlines to the sulphosalt and sulphide crystal cavities. This specimen comes with two old labels, one a large and impressive card label with a beautiful aged patina and elegant copperplate script. This is a remarkably fine specimen of the extremely rare mineral Plagionite from Wolfsberg.
