A fine sparkling druse of Hessonite Garnet covers many of areas on this specimen from the Ala Valley in Italy. Lustrous crystals measuring to 4 mm are richly intergrown on a light coloured matrix. Hessonite crystals are associated with characteristic silver-green worm-like books of hexagonal Clinochlore crystals. An admirable and aesthetic specimen from this famously mineralised area of Italy.
