A well developed gemmy crystal habit of Quartz, in the form of the well known Gwindel of a smoky colour. The Quartz crystal group has the characteristic twist about an axis. The front display face of the Gwindel has a prismatic Smoky Quartz crystal measuring to 2.5cm tall. The Quartz Gwindel comes from the Tujetsch area of Switzerland, and displays to advantage.
