A terrific miniature of jet black, lustrous Sphalerite crystals surrounding prominent acicular Quartz crystals from Wheal Jane at Kea in Cornwall, close to the city of Truro. Covering a matrix of massive Sphalerite, the Sphalerite forms a variety of complexly modified crystals, the most simple forms being multiple pyramidal clusters. The interspersed Quartz crystals are colourless with a milky surface layer and are partly transparent. A great miniature Sphalerite with Quartz from Wheal Jane accompanied with a Sam Weller label.
