An elegant, vertically mounted specimen of Malachite richly covering a rusty-brown matrix of limonite-coated Goethite from the classic Ojuela mine at Mapim' in Durango, Mexico. The Malachite occurs as micro-crystalline velvety sprays in dense druses and as banded rounded stalactitic stacked mounds, again with a matt, velvet-like texture. This most attractive specimen is mounted on a clear acrylic display base.
