Sharp scalenohedral crystals of Calcite from Banska Stiavnica Co, Slovakia. The Calcite crystals form a prominate display of an intergrown doubly terminated crystal, with the main crystal clustered in a cross. The faces of the Calcite crystals are composed of tiny crystals of the same mineral in parallel orintation. The colour of the crystals is creamy with a thin light brownish coating to some of the faces. The matrix is a mixture of black Sphalerite with lead grey Galena on a thin vein of Pyrite. A finely formed specimen of Calcite.
