An uncommon botryoidal specimen of Kidwellite from Indian Mountain in Cherokee County, Alabama, USA. Kidwellite is a sodium-iron phosphate hydroxide and in this lovely miniature displays a fine interconnected spherical habit with a powdery pastel green outer layer encasing a distinctive internal radial habit of golden orange-brown to banded leafy pastel green. The largest Kidwellite spheres attain 1.5 cm diameter and richly coat a flat matrix of ferruginous brecciated milky Quartz.
