There is no disguising this specimen is an ugly brute, but it is a Cornish tin stream Cassiterite which makes it a most desirable brute! The majority of this small miniature, from the famous Bojewan Tin Stream Works at Sancreed, St. Just, is matt, fine granular grey-black Cassiterite, partly shot through with off-milky Quartz as a number of crystal sections embedded within the Cassiterite. Not a show-stopper, but a lovely demure Cornish classic!
