Baryte
A classic British Baryte from the Mowbray mine, just south of the town of Frizington in Cumbria, England. This very fine, long bladed Baryte crystal is translucent to gemmy, measures 11.4 cm tall and exhibits beautiful colour variations in shades of pale amber, butterscotch, ginger and golden yellows. The crystal is sharply terminated with a second thin crystal in position in parallel and epitaxially. An excellent and very fine Baryte from the Mowbray mine which operated from the mid-19th to early 20th centuries.
