Harmotome
A large plate of Quartz-rich matrix is covered on both faces with glassy, translucent milky-white Harmotome crystals from the St. Andreasberg mining district in the Harz mountains of Lower Saxony. Harmotome is one of the rarer members of the Zeolite Group and the hundreds of individual crystals, typically 3 mm across, form perfect crosses, also termed 'drill bit' habit crystals. A very good and rich specimen of Harmotome from St. Andreasberg.
