Calcite 4 pieces$400.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Bage mine at Cromford, close to Matlock in Derbyshire, England, is world famous for its phosgenite and matlockite, but other common, yet well crystallised, minerals were found in the mine. Local dedicated mine explorers and mineral collectors have for years been clearing and exploring the mine in search of the rarer species and in the process have discovered fine Calcite crystals, as in this collection of four double terminated scalenohedrons. These were found on the 238 ft Level (south) in February 1999 and are accompanied by the collector’s own label. The largest crystal measures 4.3 cm long and all are translucent, grading from off-cream to smoky buff and light grey. A terrific set of four Calcite crystals from the iconic Bage mine in Derbyshire. A must have Derbyshire locality!\n
