Quartz on Hematite$450.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A beautiful cabinet specimen of gemmy to translucent pyramidal Quartz crystals measuring to 2 cm wide, sitting on a bed of metallic platy black Hematite crystals covering a thin botryoidal pate of massive Hematite. This lovely example of well crystallised Quartz is from Florence mine by the town of Egremont in Cumbria, England, a mine which over its many years of operation has produced so many top quality specimens. The platy crystals are the variety of Hematite known as Specularite; an iconic mineral of this region’s iron mines. All the Quartz crystals are characteristically squat and stubby, essentially double terminated crystals with no intermediary hexagonal prism.\n
